There is a long way left to go, but here is the progress.
The "Anne Brooks Faucet," guaranteed leak free and to have working handles (sponsored by my boss). |
Removing the old front door.
New kitchen chandelier. |
The exterior walls of the the rental unit appear to be uninsulated. The next two pictures are the puzzle piece job of new insulation. |
Racks to sort and store lumber outside. This was more convenient than the living room. |
New bathroom vanity lights. |
Brand new 36 inch wide front door! |
Drywall over the foam board. |
The completed drywall in the entryway ceiling. |
We had some trouble with this one, but the new shower surround was installed eventually (something about how nothing was flat, square, plumb, or level). |
New drywall around the new front door. |
Bob installing new outlets, not an easy task considering they had left about two inches of wire and installed only super tiny boxes. |
New drywall and new bathroom door. The ceiling patch was where we insulated a section where there was none, just in that little square for some reason (there used to be a closet there). |
New toilet seat to match the bowl. This made a surprising amount of difference to the look of the bathroom considering it took me three weeks to notice it (or the rest of the house was just that bad up to then, hard to say). |
I don't think this counts as progress, but here I am making toast the old fashioned way. |
This was a fun post. Thanks for sharing!
